Saturday
Morning
What about spending your morning on a beautiful market? The Old Biscuit Mill, a repurposed factory with its Neighbourgoods Market in Woodstock is definitely the right place to be on a Saturday. Local bakers, cafés, designers and restaurants offer their specialties, the market features more than 100 traders. For the perfect morning, we recommend to arrive early and hungry for sure. The Neighbourgoods Market is open on Saturday’s 9am — 2pm.

Midday
People say that Woodstock is to Cape Town what Brooklyn is to New York: with its young and creative scene, Woodstock is getting more and more trendy, multicultural and attractive. When in Woodstock, walk through the streets and take a look at the wonderful street art. We recommend to do one of the free walking tours, an one hour walk with a professional guide explaining background information about the neighborhood and its art. Based on donations, the free walking tours are a cheap and informative opportunity to explore the city.
Afternoon
Walking back in the inner City Center is about 20 minutes to walk. You should definitely take a look at the District Six Museum in Buitenkant Street. This memorial should remind of the forced movement of 60000 people of various races living in District Six during Apartheid at 1970’s. The entrance ticket is about R30, a convenient opportunity to get in touch with the South African history. The museum is very interactive, interesting and worth to visit.

Evening
Saturday night should definitely be spent in the city. You should start with a nice restaurant in the city to have a beautiful dinner. After that, make your way to Long Street where there are lots of great spots for music, dancing until late into the night.
Sunday
Morning
You need fun and sport on a Sunday morning? No problem! Take your swim clothes and book a surf lesson in Muizenberg, the perfect beach for surfers and only 30 minutes away from Cape Town’s city centre. Muizenberg is a fantastic opportunity to learn or to improve your surfing skills. A surfing lesson to refresh and learn the surfing moves helps to move in the cold Atlantic Ocean. Rent your board and wetsuit and plunge yourself into the glinting waves of the Ocean.
Midday & Afternoon
Having lunch after surfing is absolutely necessary. Walk along the beautiful coastline to Kalk Bay, a little beautiful fishing village with a variety of restaurants, shops and cafés. You’ll pass St. James with its colored beach houses and have the possibility to spot some wales and dolphins in the sea. Discover delicious seafood in one of Kalk Bay’s beach restaurants and enjoy your lunch with a stunning view!
Evening
Take the train or a taxi back to the city. A must do on a Sunday evening are the concerts in Kirstenbosch: Celebrate your perfect Sunday with a good bottle of wine, an amazing sunset setting and some snacks: the popular weekly concerts in Kirstenbosch are definitely the highlight of Cape Town’s summer. As it’s getting more and more popular you should come early to get a seat on the grass to have a good view on the stage.
